Redrum Double Time

Today we're going to do something different with the Redrum. Normally we make our Redrum beats with claps on 5 & 13 but, today we're going to make our Redrum a "Double Time" beat. A double time beat is a beat that normally would be at a slow tempo but is twice as fast. It may sound complicated but you'll see that once you start it can be very simple.

1. Open Reason
2. Create a Mixer 14:2
3. Set your tempo between 65-75.
4. Create a Redrum
5. Now, change the RESOLUTION of the Redrum to 1/32. This will turn the beat into a double time beat.
6. Pick any snare or clap you want and put it on box 9.
7. Pick any bass drum you want and put it on box 1 AND 3 to 4 more boxes of your choice.
8. Pick any hi hat you want and put the hi hat on any of the boxes you want.
9. Now change your steps to 32 and more your EDIT STEPS button to 17-32.
10. Repeat steps 6-8.
11. Once you've finished your 32 step double time beat, copy it to track.
12. Create a Dr. Rex and load in any percussion loop & put it to track.
13. Create a Malstrom or Combinator and choose any Monosynth or Polysynth of your choice.
14. Create a Matrix and make your own 8, 16, or 32 step melody.
15. Copy it to track.
16. Save your beat as (your name) double time.
